Filmmaker Bill Page spent five years filming Nicolas Carone that resulted in the 57-minute documentary "Nicolas Carone...Pushing Tradition".  Candid interviews shot at the artist's studios in New York City and Umbria, Italy, footage of him working on paintings, drawings and sculptures, his art openings including an interview with Barbara Rose and others are among the many scenes.  This culminated in a documentary presenting an intimate and powerful look of Carone's working methods and philosophy on art and life.  Excerpts of the documentary can be viewed at where the full-length DVD is available for purchase.
